HIFU stands for High Intensity Focused Ultrasound, it is a minimally invasive medical procedure that uses ultrasound waves . It can tighten sagging skin,especially facial and neck skin, redefines your jawline, smooth your skin and reduce wrinkles. HIFU can be used on the face neck and body.

How is the Treatment Administered?
After your skin is cleansed and assessed ,the skin is mapped out and a gel is applied to the area. The HIFU delivers focused energy to specific layers of the skin without damaging the outer layer. This energy heats the tissue, triggering the body’s natural healing response. The heat causes the collagen and elastin fibres to contract,and produce new collagen.. The gel is removed and moisturiser and sunblock are applied.

Are There Any Side Effects?
Treatment can be uncomfortable, there can be swelling, numbness and blotchy skin which may take 2 weeks to subside. In general , evidence suggests that there are no serious side effects of the treatment.
